About this ski
The Enforcer line is the freeride line from Nordica. As more brands do, Nordica has also extended the line to the narrow side this year. Interestingly, Nordica has placed this ski under “all-mountain” on their website, while the wider Enforcers can be found under “freeride”. It is the first time that a brand cuts a line in different categories because it better matches the characteristics of that ski.
I think that’s a good thing, because it gives a fairer picture of the strengths and weaknesses of a ski. Certainly a line like the Enforcer, which goes from 88 to 115 mm below the foot, is so wide in application that this approach is clearer. The Enforcer 88 is, in my opinion, really an all-mountain ski. Not enough float to really be classified as a powder ski, but certainly not a hard snow ski. Really such a model for when the conditions are otherwise hard slopes or deep powder.
Super smooth
The construction (sidewall, metal, wooden core, some camber under the foot) give the ski sufficient piste qualities. There are skis in this width range that have much tighter carving and better grip. But this Enforcer is satisfactory. In soft snow the points stay well above the snow. The tip and tail rocker ensure that the ski slips very easily. Ideal for the buckels and the small space.
Not a solid, tight carver, certainly not a powder ski. but everything in between does this ski well. He is smooth, forgiving, muted. The ski is not very energetic, but especially very easy to ski. A charger will not be happy on this ski, but everyone who likes to enjoy cruising and who does not know what the conditions are going to do will have a great bar here.
Conclusion
A forgiving genuine all-mountain ski for all conditions except concrete-hard slopes or deep powder. Those who want to carve hard or ski aggressively will be a bit disappointed with this ski. But the all-condition skier who is not looking for adrenaline will certainly be happy with this ski.
