Ellen Schoneveld is my name, 55 years old with a young spirit and still crazy about snow, skiing, and snowboarding!

At the age of 12, I learned to ski and I increased my level all the time to live my dream to work as a ski and snowboard instructor in Austria. I worked 6 years in the WM Skischule of Rauris, 2 winter seasons at Prommegger Skischule Grossarl, one month at Skischule Heutal in Unken. During my career I was educated in Kaprun by The Salzburger Skiassociation: Anwärter Ski, Landes I and II and Snowboard Anwärter.

I was injured badly several times so I had to quit. With all kinds of braces, pills, and cremes I still try to ski or snowboard a little bit just for fun. I still feel the pleasure, enjoy nature and like the smell of wintersport. Wintersport is not only a winter business but it is my life. Not so many people seem to understand that you have to inform, train, prepare, buy, and test material during the summer.

It is a way of life. I was lucky to have parents who let me go and live my life after I finished my education.  Later my work as a teacher at a special school gave me a lot of fun and a good feeling to be important in another way in life. I hope I inspired a lot of people in my ski and snowboarding lessons and gave them joy and infected them with the wintersport virus!
